Do you want to put on a top and go to the gym feeling more confident in your movements? Let’s talk about this wonderful patient’s case then 🥰
This is a secondary mastopexy case, with skin very prone to sagging. She had already had a mastopexy with implants at the end of adolescence, because her breasts had developed with hypertrophy and sagging. Life went on — with weight gain her breasts grew, and now she found herself in the fitness world and lost a lot of weight! The time has come to reconnect her breasts with her new lifestyle and allow her to shine even more (because she does shine, you know?) 😍
We performed a mastopexy with polyurethane-coated implants in the plane between the mammary gland and the muscle, allowing extensive skin removal, preserving her muscular anatomy and residual glandular tissue, taking advantage of the greater adherence of these implants, which prevents them from dropping in breasts with a tendency to sag. For those who like weight training (and everyone should lol), one advantage is that the implants do not move when training upper limbs, nor the risk of displacement during movement. 🏋
The implants used were not large, but we chose the most adequate diameter for her thorax, filling without excess on the sides or in the central region. This varies according to each person’s individual characteristics. 😊
Secondary surgeries are always more challenging, so planning is an essential step of the procedure. 👩🏼⚕️
