Vaginal labial hypertrophy surgery is a calm procedure that can bring quality of life. (3/7)

Often, it is not even the main topic of the consultation, or some patients are even embarrassed to mention it! But this is a calm surgery that can bring a lot of quality of life and aesthetic improvement to women with vaginal labial hypertrophy.

I brought some facts about this surgery:

1- It can be done with local anesthesia in the office or combined with other procedures in the operating room.

2- The post-operative period is generally not painful. There may be some bleeding at the beginning, and simple analgesics are enough to handle it.

3- It greatly improves discomfort when wearing certain clothes and practicing sports like cycling, reducing injuries in the area. It improves discomfort when urinating or during sexual intercourse for some.

4- The main post-operative care is hygiene, to avoid local infection that can cause pain or dehiscence (opening) of the stitches.

5- There is no need to take time off from daily activities such as work. Only from physical activities in the first week to 15 days (depending on the activity).

Do not be embarrassed to talk about it, it is super normal and there is no aesthetic standard for the female intimate area!! But it is possible to change something that does not please you 🌺
