This keychain… tells a story!

This keychain… tells a story! And on this Doctor’s Day, I came to share it with you. I received this keychain when, at 17 years old, I passed the entrance exam in 3rd place for medicine and 4th place overall at UFSC – Federal University of Santa Catarina, one of the best in Brazil. I was a CHILD! I didn’t yet have an idea of the complexity of life and all the responsibility that this choice involved. I only knew that it was a lot.

I also received as a gift the chance to spend these 6 years of college at home with my parents in Florianópolis (I didn’t know I would lose him in 2010) and to be a classmate of my sister @thaiskmachado 🥰🥰 and to have made friends for life too.

Today this keychain holds the key to my office, a great achievement of mine, which also would not have been realized without the support of God and @fonsecajjr ❤️

If back in 2001 they had told that girl she would go to São Paulo and have this office, I don’t know if she would have believed it. She had never even traveled by plane, didn’t know São Paulo well and didn’t think about living there one day, but she knew that the world was big and deserved to be lived.

To all my medical colleagues, I would like to give my congratulations! And to those who wish to pursue Medicine, I only have to say that the journey is intense but I would not trade it for anything ❤️, it is already engraved in my DNA.
