There is a portrait of me at age 4 in the bathroom cabinet where I keep the things I use to get ready every day. All the hygiene products, makeup, toothbrush, and in the back, a photo frame with that picture of me in a denim dress, looking up with wide-open eyes and a hopeful expression.

That girl couldn’t have imagined a fraction of what she would experience in the following years, happy moments and challenges; she couldn’t guess or have any brief notion of it! But she had a longing to live and be happy.

So every morning when I am getting ready, I look at her. It is almost as if I am mentally conversing with her: look where we are going today! Today will be challenging… Look how far we have come! Today we are happy… I get ready to fulfill that girl’s dreams and make her victorious, proud. Even with days that are more or less easy, we continue together to be happy ❤️
