The biggest challenge in treating #olheiras is accurately diagnosing the underlying issue, which often extends beyond the periorbital region. I’ll try to explain this without using too many technical terms 😉. The skin in this area is very thin and translucent, and since there is little superficial fat between it and the orbicularis muscle (the muscle that surrounds the eyes), especially near the nose, it can take on a purplish hue. The deposition of certain pigments in this area can worsen the problem.
However, even if a person uses a high-coverage concealer, a groove in the skin often casts a shadow, making it visible and giving a tired appearance, even in young and attractive individuals (like in the third photo, which is an image from TV that I make a point of not tagging the person in). This groove occurs due to the ligaments shown in the second photo, which, over time and with changes in various tissues, leave a visible contour in this area, making the facial bony structure more apparent.
#preenchimentos are widely used in this area, as are #blefaroplastia, #laser, #peeling, and #microagulhamento.
Since this is an area with many blood vessels and nerves, it is important that procedures are performed by a qualified professional. Even so, some bruising or edema may still occur.
