Q&A about lipedema. Check out my stories, the question box is still open.
Video transcript
In the areas that were most treated, it is difficult for the fat to return, unless the person has a very large weight gain, because when fat accumulates, it will preferentially accumulate in areas where less was aspirated, areas where the treated proportion was smaller. But that is why it is important for the person to continue all the conservative treatment care; the difference lies in how we approach these regions, the knowledge of the region’s anatomy and physiology, and also of lipedema disease and its evolution. So, we have some differentiated accesses, movements that we perform or that we avoid for better tissue recovery and preservation of the lymphatic network. But it is not a matter of removing the fat, or whether the liposuction is conventional or not; roughly, we will infiltrate a solution with a vasoconstrictor and aspirate the fat. But even between conventional liposuctions, there will be a difference between a liposuction performed with more delicacy and care, and a somewhat rougher liposuction. So, it is not really just a matter of the difference between lipedema liposuction or not.
