What do you want to be when you grow up? Today, everyone, October 18th, Doctor’s Day, I came to share with you a little story and a memory of mine. The first time I felt I glimpsed the chance of becoming a doctor when I grew up. It was on my 5th birthday, a June 10th, 1989. I remember it as if it were today, this memory is very alive in my head. It was a Saturday, we went to a health center in Florianópolis to get the polio vaccine. By the way, take these videos to get vaccinated. I remember the journey, I remember the street, we went there to get the vaccine, on foot. And we came back and I got the pediatrician doll. She had a little white coat, a stethoscope, a little clipboard, a little badge here, it looked like a High-X. And I saw myself in that doll as something for the future. And after that, I always liked medical things. So I also got Dr. Aual, which was a little dog that had a little stethoscope, an otoscope there. In this… for a while I was going to be a veterinarian and then I established my desire to want to be a doctor for humans. Before I wanted to be an astronaut, but at 5 years old I dropped that idea aside. So I wanted to share this memory with you. It is a very beautiful episode of my life that I have in my memory as if it were today. And that for sure today I leave that little face there very happy.
