“I have lipedema. Can my daughter have it too?” 🤔
This is a very common question and deserves attention. Lipedema shows familial aggregation and there may be a genetic predisposition, although this does not mean daughters will necessarily develop the condition.
That is why knowing the family history and watching for changes over the years can help identify the condition earlier.
