I decided to bring up the question: when should breast implants be replaced?

First of all: there is no such thing as a lifetime implant 🚫

– Rupture: something much less common nowadays with the quality of modern implants, but some trauma can cause the implant to rupture.

– Aesthetic changes: increasing, decreasing, or doing a mastopexy. If the patient is going to have any intervention on the breast after a certain time, we already recommend replacing the implant.
– Other clinical situations such as late seroma, etc., depending on the case.
