At 65, with a history of umbilical hernia surgery that had not delivered the functional and aesthetic results she needed, she arrived at the clinic no longer convinced she still had a chance to restore her abdominal anatomy and have a beautiful navel she felt good about. 💛

A delicate surgery involving fibrosis, adhesions, and an extremely thin aponeurosis (the layer covering the musculature). The muscles were separated in the central region, and in this thin wall was the recurrent hernia (which had come back), causing pain in the navel likely due to fibrosis from the previous procedure. It is an extremely satisfying job to restore the integrity of the abdominal wall and bring, much more than a pretty photo, the possibility of exercising and enjoying life without pain or discomfort.

In this case, we performed surgery without liposuction in any area, but through the restoration of the abdominal layers, there is closure of the muscular “corset” and improvement of the waist and silhouette.
