At 65 years old, with a history of umbilical hernia surgery that had not brought the functional and aesthetic result she needed — when she arrived at the office, she was no longer convinced she still had a chance to restore her abdominal anatomy and have a beautiful belly button she felt good about. 💛

A delicate surgery, with fibrosis, adhesions, an extremely thin aponeurosis (the layer that covers the musculature). The muscles were separated in the central region, and in this thin wall there was the hernia, which had recurred (came back), causing pain in the belly button, probably due to the fibroses from the previous procedure. It is extremely satisfying work to restore the integrity of the abdominal wall and bring — much more than a nice photo — the possibility of exercising and enjoying life without pain or discomfort.

In this case we performed surgery without liposuction in any area, but through the restoration of the abdominal layers there is a closing of the muscular “belt” and improvement of the waist and silhouette.
