Video transcript

Hi everyone, today I made a point of coming here to give a huge congratulations to all teachers in Brazil and around the world. It is a very beautiful profession, for which I have a lot of gratitude, because if I am here today, if I am who I am, it is because I had many teachers in my life here, who brought me to this point, knew how to see the potential in me, and made it possible for me to overcome my difficulties to achieve everything I wanted in my life. I think education is the greatest tool for transformation in a person’s life. I have many friends, patients, people here on Instagram who are teachers, and people in my family as well. My mother is a teacher, so I wanted to dedicate this congratulations especially to her. Of course, all teachers have their importance, but I greatly admire those who work with the education of children and adolescents, because in addition to teaching knowledge, they participate a lot in the formation of the character of these people. So if we want to have a better country, we have to start there, with the education of our children and adolescents. So I wanted to thank all the professionals who do this wonderful work. Many of whom are watching right now, right? So keep up the perseverance. In this time of pandemic, many people who sometimes did not value the work of teachers as much had to educate their children at home and see that the hole is deeper and that there are many challenges, even more so for a teacher who sometimes has to deal with many students at the same time, right? And for university teachers, also persevere in this mission of making sure that people do not just leave college with a university degree in a higher course, but that they leave as truly prepared human beings to act ethically in this world, right? Congratulations to everyone.
