A long journey that is part of me and that I want to continue for many, many more years ❤️. Thank you to all the patients and friends who remembered this date, and congratulations to all who share this purpose: being a doctor.
In a world with so many charlatans and people selling useless and unfounded treatments seeking only profit from others’ pain, let us be light in people’s lives ❤️🩹

I even had an art piece ready for this day, but I decided to come here and make a spontaneous video. I wanted to thank everyone who congratulated me on Doctor’s Day, October 18th; it is truly a very special day for us. Medicine is a career that usually takes a long time to complete our training, and during and after that training, it ends up occupying a large part of our lives. So, it is a profession that becomes a significant part of our identity as well. When I chose medicine, I was a bit younger, but when I made the choice in the entrance exam to study medicine, I was 17 years old. I entered college at 17, and you agree that it is a very young age; you still have a lot of personality development ahead. So, I made a very happy choice. I was lucky enough for it to be a very happy choice, and in the years that have passed, I have been a graduate for almost 20 years, and there has never been a moment when I thought, ‘Ah, I should have chosen another profession.’ It is a profession that brings a lot of responsibility to us, a huge burden of adulthood. You see, when I graduated as a doctor, I was 23 years old. I was still very young, but we already receive a great responsibility and mature a lot. So, it is something that we see, 20 years later, that I continue to reaffirm every day, that it is something I like as my life purpose, and being a doctor, caring for people, making others’ lives better, and a little bit of that thing, you know, that magic of being a doctor, which is a profession that, even though nowadays there are many people who are sometimes against doctors, it is a very admired profession, as if you had special knowledge, of doing special things, and that is very cool. So, I thank everyone who congratulated me, and I also congratulate all my colleagues. I encourage everyone who truly loves this career to pursue the career of medicine, which nowadays I consider to be much more difficult, both in terms of the market and having a good college, but it is a journey that truly has many rewards.
