Silicone implants contain a cohesive gel that does not leak like a liquid in case of rupture. The higher the cohesiveness, the firmer the implant feels to the touch.

Generally, it leaks into the implant capsule, which can trigger an inflammatory response and capsular contracture, but it does not flow through the body as some people imagine.
Some silicone particles may undergo phagocytosis (our body’s defense cells ingest these particles) and travel to the axillary lymph nodes, causing “lumps” generally without major consequences. ⚠️ This does not apply only to the brand that posted the video but to the most modern implants currently on the market.
